AWRAE Training


Aboriginal Women’s Research Assistant and Evaluation (AWRAE) Training Project
The AWRAE Training Project is a new initiative to be delivered across three identified trial sites (Karratha and Broome/Derby) with a key focus and intent to train and support 24 local Aboriginal women to become Research and Evaluation Assistants.

Containers for Change

The Containers for Change WA scheme launched on 1 October 2021. Since the start of the scheme we have seen almost 6 million containers returned through ABC Foundation and our partner sites helping to reduce landfill and litter across our land and sea country.
Container deposit refunds can either be personally collected or donated to the local community partner.

The Custodianship program supports the growth
and development of older Aboriginal children through: school based activities; soft skills support and Camps/excursions.

Lifeskills 2 Leadership (12-15 years)


Lifeskills to leadership supports the growth
and development of older Aboriginal children through: transition to high school program; Self identity program and Camps/excursions.
Participant & community outcomes are: school
non-attendance addressed, improves emotional stability; develops identity of self and parents revaluing education.

On-Country Education


Specialist Education Programmes from
0-18 Years
Life education designed to empower young people within a two way learning environment, providing alternative education support programs and resources. On-Country Education provides an inclusive school environment for all children, improving Aboriginal school attendance and performance.

Ranger 4 Life (3-12 years)


Ranger 4 Life supports the growth
and development of Aboriginal children through holiday programs, after school activities and
bush classrooms.
Participant & community outcomes are: increased Aboriginal school enrolments; early childhood learning; improved school attendance; reduced risk of becoming disengaged; family awareness; play and social development.

On-Country training, leadership and skill development to increase the capacity of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people aspiring to work On-Country.

STREAM

Self Transition through resilience, empowerment, awareness & motivation (STREAM) program
The STREAM program focuses on building an individual’s capacity and supporting them to reset their personal foundations to transition and make positive changes in their lives. Working alongside our community partner Mungullah Community Aboriginal Corporation, this program aims to assist male youths and men to remove the barriers that are preventing them from finding employment.

Welcome Me 2 Country (0-3 years)


Welcome Me 2 Country supports the growth
and development of young Aboriginal children through Early learning playgroups, social events and family Outings.
Outcomes for participants are: Healthy mother and child; foundational learning; increased family awareness; play and social development.
